Trout hits 10th HR, Ohtani shaky, Angels beat Astros 8-7

Shohei Ohtani didn't have a great start. Mike Trout, Andrelton Simmons and the Los Angeles Angels did plenty to finish off the Houston Astros. Trout hit his major league-leading 10th homer and the Angels overcame another shaky outing by Ohtani to beat Houston 8-7 Tuesday night, tying a team record with their 11th straight road win.

Jed Lowrie hit a tiebreaking double before Texas slugger Adrian Beltre left with a hamstring injury, and the A's beat the Rangers 3-2 on Tuesday night, tagging Cole Hamels with his fourth loss before the end of April for the first time in the left-hander's career.

The No. 3 Texas Tech baseball team fell in game one of its midweek series at No. 7 Arkansas, 5-1, on Tuesday night at Baum Stadium. Despite posting six shutout frames to end the night, the Red Raiders (32-10) couldn’t overcome five runs by the Razorbacks (29-13) over the first two innings of the contest.
