LUBBOCK, Texas – Five Texas Tech Women's Tennis team members were selected to represent the Lady Raiders at the Riviera ITA All-American Championships Sept. 30-Oct. 8 in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Senior Gabriela Talaba was selected to the tournament's singles main draw, becoming the second Lady Raider in program history to receive a main draw invitation. She was one of 23 in the nation to be selected to compete in the main draw.
Junior Felicity Maltby was named a main draw alternate and selected to participate in the qualifying round if not selected for the main draw. Last season, Maltby was selected to the qualifying singles round.
Senior Sabrina Federici and junior Alex Valenstein were named to the pre-qualifying round bracket while senior Sarah Dvorak is a pre-qualifying round alternate for singles.
Doubles duo Dvorak and Federici were selected to the main draw, becoming the first duo in program history to be selected to the main draw of the Riviera tournament. Talaba and Maltby were named main draw alternates and selected to compete in the qualifying round.
The Lady Raiders open the fall season this weekend at the Midland Invitational.
