Frenship Looking For First Win vs. Central

Frenship Looking For First Win vs. Central

The Frenship Tigers are still seeking victory number one of the season in week number eight of the year. The Tigers are coming off of a 52-7 loss to Tascosa in Amarillo last Thursday night. However, Frenship has one extra day to prepare for an unbeaten San Angelo Central team.

The "Davis Bowl" has been the headline the last few season when Central and Frenship has squared off, but Brad Davis is no longer coaching the Tigers and Brent Davis is still the head man for the Bobcats. Don't expect the Bobcats to pull any punches if they happen to go up by a large margin.

The Frenship defense has shown great improvement over the last few games, and the scores don't necessarily reflect that. The Tigers will need some offense to help out the defense this week just to keep up. Central boasts the No. 6 scoring offense in the state at the top offense in District 2-6A at 46.17 points per game.

Kickoff Friday will be at 7:30pm from Peoples Bank Stadium in Wollforth. The Game can be heard on Double T 97.3 FM with coverage beginning at 7pm.
