Men's Tennis Battles to 3-Setter at ITA Fall Nationals

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Jackson Cobb and Alex Sendegeya dropped a hard-fought battle to Zvonimir Babic and Filip Kraljevic of Ole Miss 6-2, 6-7 (4), 1-0 (10-3) on Wednesday at the ITA Fall Nationals in Indian Wells, California.

Cobb and Sendegeya battled back in the second set and took the tiebreaker by a 7-4 margin to force a winner-take-all super tiebreaker. However, the Ole Miss pair regrouped and emerged with a 10-3 decision.

"We missed some opportunities early in the match, but we fought back really well to take the second set," Texas Tech head coach Brett Masi said. "Overall we played pretty well and just need to execute better and clean a few things up for our match tomorrow."

The Red Raiders hope to begin a new winning streak in Thursday's consolation action versus Northern Arizona's Tim Handel and Ruben Montano.
