Texas Tech women’s tennis earns No. 7 USTA ranking

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team opened at No. 7 in the first UTSA Top 25 Poll of the season.
 
The Lady Raiders have held on to No. 8 in the latest Oracle/ITA Top 25 poll (Jan. 31) after a 3-0 start to the season.
 
Texas Tech captured two 4-0 sweeps over Saint Mary's (CA) and Wichita State last weekend to earn a spot in the ITA Indoor National Championships on Feb. 9-12.
 
Seniors Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici lead the team with a perfect 5-0 record on the season. Newcomer Lana Rush joins the veterans with a perfect 4-0 start to her Lady Raider career.
 
UP NEXT
The Lady Raiders travel to TCU on Saturday for a non-conference match. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
