Texas Tech Men's Basketball up to 6th in AP Poll

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Despite splitting games last week, other losses among top teams has led to Texas Tech Men's Basketball achieving its highest ranking in program history. The Red Raiders (22-5, 10-4) are sixth in this week's AP Poll. The team is actually tied with Gonzaga at sixth, followed by Kansas eighth.

Tech beat Oklahoma in Lubbock 88-78 Monday, then lost at Baylor 59-57. Keenan Evans, the team's leading scorer and second in PPG in the conference, left in the first half in Waco with a foot injury. Coach Beard said Monday afternoon Evans is day-to-day. Tech plays at Oklahoma State Wednesday evening.

ESPN's College Game Day will be in Lubbock Saturday morning ahead of the team hosting (8)Kansas at 3 that afternoon. Tech is undefeated at the USA this season. The only other Big 12 team in this week's Top 25 is West Virginia at 21.
