LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 16 Women's Tennis team jumped back into the win column with a 4-0 sweep over Kansas State on Sunday morning.
The Lady Raiders improved to 11-4 on the season and picked up their first Big 12 win. K-State dropped to 12-5, 2-2.
Doubles duo Alex Valenstein and Lana Rush gave the Lady Raiders the advantage with a 6-3 win on court three. Gabriela Talaba and Felicity Maltby clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win on court two, marking their 13th win of the season and seventh straight.
In singles action, Maltby gave Tech a 2-0 lead with her 6-2, 6-1 victory on court two. Talaba made quick work on court one with her 6-2, 6-1 win, pushing the Lady Raiders' lead to 3-0.
No. 78 Sabrina Federici clinched the match on court three after defeating K-State's Rosanna Maffei in straight sets (6-0, 6-2).
The Lady Raiders will take on Tulsa in a neutral site match on Wednesday, March 28, in Dallas.
