No.13 Texas Tech Women's Tennis begin road swing at Oklahoma, Oklahoma St.

LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 13 Lady Raider Tennis team heads into the final weeks of Big 12 play as they travel to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State this weekend.

In their last outing, the Lady Raiders (14-5, 3-2 Big 12) fell to No. 6 Texas at home in a heartbreaking 4-2 loss. Tech came out strong, winning the doubles point and Alex Valenstein gave the Lady Raiders a 2-1 lead. The Longhorns outlasted Tech winning three straight singles matches to clinch the win.

Oklahoma (12-9, 2-3 Big 12) enters the weekend on a two-match win streak after defeating Oral Roberts, 4-0, in two non-conference matches. The Sooners have lost the last three Big 12 matches to Texas (0-4), Baylor (0-5) and Oklahoma State (0-4).

No. 11 Oklahoma State (15-2, 4-1 Big 12) is on a three-match win streak. The Cowgirls defeated OU in their last Big 12 match and have only lost to Texas in league play.

UP NEXT

The Lady Raiders travel to Iowa State and West Virginia next weekend for the Big 12 regular season finales. Tech is set to play at West Virginia on Friday at 4 p.m. (CT) and Iowa State on Sunday at 11 a.m.
