LUBBOCK, Texas – For the third consecutive season, The No. 11 Texas Tech Women’s Tennis program will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championships at the McLeod Tennis Center.
This is the seventh straight season for the Lady Raiders to earn a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
Texas Tech was selected as the No. 11 national seed in the NCAA Lubbock Regional on Tuesday afternoon during the Selection Show on NCAA.com. Army, No. 47 Princeton and No. 19 Illinois will travel to Lubbock for the two-day tournament that is scheduled for May 11-12.
Princeton and Illinois will kick off the weekend on May 11 at 10 a.m. The Lady Raiders will face Army on May 11 at 1 p.m. The winner of each match will advance to Saturday’s second round match set for 1 p.m.
Tech has advanced to the Sweet 16 in the last three seasons and achieved an Elite Eight berth just last season.
