INDIANAPOLIS – Four Texas Tech Women's Tennis players have been selected to compete in the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships.
Senior Gabriela Talaba earned a spot in the singles competition with an at large bid while junior Felicity Maltby was named an alternate in the event.
Doubles duo Sabrina Federici and Sarah Dvorak have qualified for the doubles competition.
The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 23-28 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, after the conclusion of the team championship, which runs from May 17-22. Wake Forest University will serve as host.
All four of the Lady Raiders qualified for the singles and doubles competition last season. Talaba and Maltby advanced to the singles Round of 32. Dvorak and Federici fell in the opening round of 32.
The Lady Raiders (20-6) begin the team competition next weekend as they host Army West Point (21-6) in the NCAA First Round. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
