Lady Raiders' Riviera/ITA All-American run cut short

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis Team ended its run at the Riviera/ITA All-American qualifying rounds after day two of competition.
 
Senior Felicity Maltby fell to No. 6-seed Anna Bright (Cal), 7-5, 6-3, in the Round of 16. With the win, Bright qualifies for the main draw.
 
In doubles play, Maltby and Nell Miller captured an 8-2 win over Dartmouth's Abigail Chiu and Madison Hwang.
 
The Lady Raiders return to action in next weekend (Oct. 18-21) at the ITA Texas Regionals in College Station, Texas. Several student-athletes will compete for a chance to make the ITA Fall Nationals in November.
