TULSA, Okla. – Tech doubles partners Bjorn Thomson and Parker Wynn will head back to Lubbock following a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0(8) defeat to the Mississippi State Bulldogs at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa.
Thomson and Wynn, in the first round of the consolation draw, advanced to the second round following a default by their opponent. The Tech duo steamrolled their way to a second-round victory over Zielinski and Loeb of Georgia by a score of 6-3 and 7-6(0) to advance to the semifinals.
Tech's time at the All-American Championships would eventually end in Sunday's doubles loss in three sets to the No. 1 ranked team in the nation.
The Red Raiders will take a short break before returning to action at the ITA Texas Regionals in Waco, Texas on Thursday, October 18th.
