WACO, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Basketball team dropped its seventh straight game as the Lady Raiders fell to No. 1-ranked Baylor, 96-37, on Saturday.
Tech drops to 10-11 on the season, 1-9 in Big 12 play, while Baylor remains undefeated at 9-0 in Big 12 play.
The Lady Raiders forced Baylor to turn the ball over 17 times, the second most turnovers the Lady Bears have had all season.
Sophomore guard Sydney Goodson came out of the half and scored all 13 of her points against the Lady Bears. She also had three rebounds and a steal against Baylor.
Junior Erin DeGrate, a Waco, Texas, native, was just one point and three rebounds shy of a double double. She also posted a career high three steals in the contest.
Texas Tech: Sophomore Sydney Goodson led the Lady Raiders with 13 points, all coming in the second half.
Baylor: The Lady Bears had five players in double figures, led by Kalani Brown who scored 23 points and had a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.
The Lady Raiders move to 10-11 on the season, 1-9 in Big 12 play.
This was the 91st meeting between the Lady Raiders and the Lady Bears. Tech moves to 47-44 all-time against Baylor.
Chrislyn Carr went 2-for-2 from the charity stripe to stretch her streak to 19 consecutive FTs made.
Sydney Goodson led the team with 13 points for her third straight double-digit point game. She also had three rebounds and a steal against the Lady Bears.
Erin DeGrate posted nine points, three rebounds and a career high three steals in her hometown.
The Lady Raiders return to United Supermarkets Arena on Wednesday as they host TCU for a 7 p.m. tip. It is the first game of a three-game homestand.
