Man indicted for stalking Cottages of Lubbock staff
A man accused of throwing a brick through a victim's windshield has been indicted for stalking.
Prosecutors said Johnathan Cothran, 25, tormented staff at the Cottages of Lubbock near Glenna Goodacre and Ave. S. Court records indicate Cothran shattered a staff member's windshield with a brick on April 26. The reporting officer indicates Cothran was recently evicted from the property and had been targeting staff ever since.
Court records indicate Cothran made several calls harassing the employees, damaged vehicles and poured cat litter over one employee's car. The officer reports Cothran's previously exhibited irrational and unstable behavior, making him a threat to the safety of the Cottages staff.
The officer said Cothran's actions escalated during each incident, leading the officer to believe he will cause more damage or seriously injure a staff member.
He is held on a $100,000 bond.
