Texas Tech picked up its eighth-straight win over Oklahoma State Friday at Dan Law Field. It's also win 20 of the last 24 games this season. Now the Red Raiders are one win away from returning to the College World Series.

Tech defeated Oklahoma State 8-6 in game one of the Super Regional.

The Red Raiders got off to an early start with a Dylan Neuse RBI single that scored Braxton Fulford and Kurt Wilson, followed by a Cody Masters home run the next inning that gave Tim Tadlock's crew a 3-0 lead.

The Pokes did not fold. The teams were going back and forth the next few innings until Oklahoma State ultimately cut down Tech's lead to one run, trailing 6-5 in the top of the 7th. With two outs and the bases loaded, Colin Simpson hit a ball to deep center that would have given OSU a 9-6 lead, but Dylan Neuse was able to make the snag at the warning track.

Josh Jung led off the bottom of the 7th with his 12th homer of the year giving the Red Raiders a 7-5 lead. They led 8-6 in the top of the 9th and John McMillon finished his second inning of relief leaving the Pokes scoreless and closing things out.

The Red Raiders will go for the series win Saturday, first pitch at 5. Listen to the game on Double T 97.3 and the Double T 97.3 mobile app.
