Red Raider tennis ready for Battle in the Bay
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Texas Tech senior men's tennis players Bjorn Thomson and Parker Wynn will compete in both singles and doubles play at the annual Battle in the Bay tournament in San Francisco this weekend.
The event kicks off on Thursday afternoon for Thomson, who will face Ryan Ali of Santa Clara at 4 p.m. CT in the first round of singles qualifying action. Wynn's fall singles debut will be on Friday, as he faces Riley Smith of USC at 4 p.m. CT in the main draw. Wynn is the sixth of eight singles seeds in this year's competition.
The No. 2 ranked duo of Thomson and Wynn will begin their doubles competition on Friday morning at approximately 11:45 a.m. CT to take on Luc Fomba and Blake Croyder of TCU and Georgia, respectively, in the round of 16.
