The Lubbock Cooper Pirates  finish their regular season with a win at home over the Randall Raiders 37-31. This win also means that the Pirates have officially clinched the Division 3 5A championship.

The Pirates would have a tough fight all night with Randell benefiting from a scoop-and-score in the first half and managing to keep the ball off an onside kick. However, the Pirates were able to score on their second to last drive and stop the Raiders to end the game.

The Pirates would rack up 233 yards on the ground and 99 yards through the air in the win.

With this win, Lubbock Cooper improves and finishes their regular season with 9-1 overall and 5-0 in district play. The Randell Raiders will drop to 3-5 overall and 2-3 in district play.

The Pirates will begin their playoff run next week as a number one seed.

The Pirates will now have to wait to see who they will play at home in the first round of the playoffs.
